Well maybe not the best Regency I've read but it was still fun. Margaret is determined to catch the eye of Mr. Northam and she will settle for no one else. So why is she so bothered by Lord Williams? Maybe because he offends her with his haughtiness and arrogance.
Lord Williams is trying his best to make sure she doesn't get trapped in his cousin, Northam's, rakish ways. Going as far as securing his own engagement to Margaret behind her back.
While I enjoyed the back and forth of jesting been the two.... Most times I just wanted them to ACTUALLY talk!
I had to laugh a lot though at the donkey near the end.... Trust me, the donkey part is funny.
