This book with it's many twists and turns is really good and creepy. The ending really shocked me! Very chilling. Highly recommend. I am definitely an Alice Feeney fan!

I really loved the friendship in this book between Audrey and Grace. At very different points in their lives, they found ways to connect and grow that friendship really quickly and strongly. I loved how Audrey brought out the fun, daring side to Grace and that Grace helped Audrey to see her worth as a person.
The romance between Etienne and Audrey was cute. I loved Mimi, she was so spunky and carefree. I love the Parisian setting (especially the bookshop) for this book.

*Trigger warning for child abuse and neglect.*

This story was beautiful and heartbreaking.
Beck, a pianist, has it hard. His mother lost her ability to play piano and really wants Beck to become better and farther beyond where she was able to make it to.... At a very hefty price for Beck. My heart broke with each hit and unkind word. My heart broke when Joey, Beck's little sister, is neglected and hurt.
It's very hard to read certain scenes but C.G.'s writing makes the story flow really well. I finished the book in the span of two days.

2 1/2

I don't understand why Effie and Henry ever got married. They grew up together but they didn't really know each other.
Debauchery on their honeymoon, I almost couldn't get through the orgy scene (I'm not a prude but.... Seriously, on your honeymoon- orgy)
Clara was so carefree and didn't seem to care about anyone really but herself. Max was just a weird guy that was kind of sleazy. Alma was weird too. Maybe Henry should have left Effie and they shouldn't have stuck together because they just weren't faithful to each other at all through their whole marriage.

I kind of hate to admit this, but I'm finally in the Warner corner! The things that guy had been put through from his father are so horrible!
This new book gives us a lot more insight into Juliette's past life. It's craziness!

I enjoyed most of the characters (had a hard time liking Andrew) and this story was interesting enough to keep me reading.
A story of 4 college friends, grown up with kids of their own, trying to navigate their own lives while the lives of their kids (a bit and a girl) grows closer.

I feel the same way as most people..... What did I just read?!
It's so good. Dark, twisty, and messes with your mind. I still don't know what I believe!

I enjoyed certain aspects of this story but a major part of it just dragged for me!
It's a book that involves some racism and prejudice. Shows that thoughts and ideas on those aspects can be passed down from generation to generation.
I enjoyed Moss and Joan the best as they tried to break out of the mold their parents and grandparents had put them in.

This is one of my favorite series and I loved this final book! I am still the biggest Scarlett and Julian fan. I loved having both girls points of view. I still felt myself torn right along with Tella between Legend and Jacks.
It was interesting and a little scary to see what the Fates could do.
I loved the very ending. It was just perfect and very apropos for each sister.
