I really enjoyed this second book of the Mayfield family. Timothy was at times adorable but tended to stick his foot in his mouth quite often. Maryanne was brave in her attempt to try and find a match for Timothy, who she loved. They were both stubborn in regards to each other but they both needed time to grow.
We have a never named main character obsessed with her actress neighbor. There is not a lot of dialogue, but a lot of fantasy situations (some might have been real, though it's hard to tell) in the head of the unnamed woman. I'm glad the story wasn't longer than it was or I would have just given up.
Great mystery centered around a royal and long held secrets. Jo is a journalist that gets thrown into this mystery and really starts digging deep into it.
I quite enjoyed it though it was a little tad long.

Read this book in a day!
Really fast pass paced writing. The story was just riveting and so sad. I can't believe some of the things people are capable of. I felt so bad for Nicolette once you figure out her entire story. What a horrible, very sad thing to go through! But the care she gives Wren and Sage and the way she was with them was amazing.

Frannie stands accused of murder. What could have lead to this gruesome act?
We follow her story from being a slave in Jamaica and being sent as a servant in England.
This was a riveting story that is a slow burn of unfolding events until all secrets of her life are exposed in a very fascinating trial.

This book was wild! I don't know what I can say that won't give away major plot points, but I am overthrown with emotions. I felt bad for Ella through the whole book and at the end- that was thrown out the window! I still loved this book though.... It was really, really good.
Sweet story of William, a "dead letter" investigator, trying to find the mysterious writer Winter that sends letters that start to speak to William's soul. His wife Clare and him are starting to slip though the cracks of their marriage.
I was cheering Willam on in his search but felt sorry for Clare being pushed to the sidelines while he did it. I thought the end wrapped up very nicely.

A perfect beach read!
I loved Beatrice. I loved that she didn't act like all the other rich women, she actually wanted to get to know the locals. I hated Harry from the beginning and I think I'm right to! He is such a pig! Thomas was amazing and a really good person for Beatrice.
Dolly was one of my favorite characters of this novel..... She was a force to be reckoned with. I loved that she makes her own way in the world despite having a rich husband.
It was a really good story, the pacing was fast and drew me as a reader into this world that I know nothing about.

I adored the last book of this series! I read it all in one day. Emerson is my favorite sister. I love them all though. The family dynamic is very fun and loving. I felt the whole time that Emerson deserved more than Mark. Great book!
