This book had intrigue and was always throwing me for a loop in relation to certain characters. Lots of mystery and didn't quite end the way I was thinking it might.
This was a great book with a twist at the end that I didn't see coming but was glad how it came about.
This hasn't been my favorite book of one's I've read recently. Aza bugged me throughout the whole book. The writing was simplistic enough that it didn't take long to read. I can't believe what Davis did for Aza and Daisy..... just crazy. Left you wondering what happened to Davis' dad as we didn't get much info at the end. First book by this author, not sure if I'd read more by him.
Poor Lilly! how could a women be so cruel to her? the whole thing at the end with Pepper and Lilly just tore my heart in two. another great read by this author
won from a giveaway on Goodreads. took a long time for me to get into. cute story with receipts included, but I thought it could have been better. although I love how they had to talk to Chef "dimples" in the beginning
Great Labryinth type story with goblins and an underground world. Liesl slowly finds herself and the great composer she should have always been. I was sad when she had to leave, but can't wait to see if she goes back in the next book. Still some mystery surrounding the Goblin King that I wish had been answered....
3 1/2 stars
I can't believe how many men wanted to take advantage of Loiuse one way or another throughout the book. Mr. Walsh infuriated me most of all. I loved the way Mr. Bolivar became a father type figure for her. he certainly treated her better than her own father. I really liked Edward!
Thanks for the chance to read this Ms. Dubois!

Beautiful ending to this story. The beginning I thought a bit slow, but the last half of the book really picked up the pace and was so exciting!
I wanted to kick the main character so many times through this book. I wouldn't normally have read this all the way through, I would have probably DNF'd it before the half way point, but I saw it through anyway. Wouldn't recommend it
The main character talks to the "House" as if it is an actual person. She was certainly deranged. She does a couple of totally deplorable things! It was kind of boring to me.
