I found this book to be thrilling! What great writing she does! I can't believe the murder /trial in this book really happened (with of course some embellishments by the author )..... I kind of want to find a book to read on the actual event.

I didn't want to like this book but it turns out I liked it better than expected. I think Julia is pretty stupid most of the time. She makes a stupid decision in having an affair and also saying she still loves her husband. I thought I had the killer figured out about halfway through the book and it turns out I was wrong! I would have never guessed that ending!

Wow. This book drew me in quick and I finished it in a little over a day! Henry seems pretty normal in the beginning, but at the end of the book, I had to wonder if the childhood trauma he experienced made him a bit crazy. I can't believe he got away with so many murders!
A good and quick read

I'm so happy with this ending! I'm so happy with who she ends up choosing, I was rooting for him in The Heir ☺. I'm also happy with how changed Eadlyn becomes.
Plus there is a small plot line that I would have never seen coming. I really saw no indication of it in either The Heir or this book

I'm not a huge fan of non - fiction so it was REALLY hard to get through this book. The first part is boring, I actually enjoyed and was fascinated by what they actually went through from the sinking of the whaleship to the rescue of the second boat, and then the rest was boring to me.
