I did not like this series AT ALL. I think it is weird that she fell for a wolf without knowing he was human. It gave me weird vibes. I did finish the series because I have a problem with starting books and not finishing them. But I wish I had stopped after book one.

This is an amazing stand alone. I love books based in Roman history. I do wish the author had chosen to write one more book so that we weren’t left on such a cliff hanger.

Divergent is one of my favorite series. I was so happy to see that there was a book written in the voice of Four because he is my favorite character (obviously) and I loved seeing his side of things.

I am so happy I read The Assassins Blade first before starting Throne of Glass. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Celaena’s relationship with Sam grow and how Celaena reacted to Sam’s death. I broke with her during his death and had to take a mental break to recuperate lol. I don’t think I would have understood her character as much if I had started with Throne of Glass first.

How could I NOT read a book dedicated to my favorite King, Nikolai? It was a little slow at first but once the action started it just got more intense. I also enjoyed how the characters all got their own chapters so I could read different perspectives. I can’t wait to start Rule of Wolves!!

I did not enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first three books to the Selection series. I think Eadlyn was spoiled and annoying most of the time. Overall it was still a good book, but it could have been better.

I am glad that there was some serious character development in this book. I think Eadlyn was spoiled and bratty almost the entire time. I was hoping she would choose Kile in the end but I understand why she did not, although I am still sad because I thought they would make an adorable couple!! I was totally caught off guard when she chose Eikko but I think he brought out the best in her which helped with the character development she desperately needed.

I was surprised she had made it this far into the competition with how she acted. For the most part this entire book was just about America fighting her feelings for Maxon because she was afraid she wouldn’t be worthy of being queen.

I was SCREAMING at this book the entire time. I was getting so mad that America and Maxon were going back and forth playing games instead of admitting their feelings for each other. And then once they knew they were in love they were both trying to not be the first one to say it to the other?!?! I understand that America was still fighting her feelings for Aspen. But in my opinion Aspen was so jealous. He’s the one who broke it off with America and then when he saw she was happy with someone else, he risked her getting beaten (or worse) to sneak around.

I’m glad it ended with a proposal but I would have understood Maxon not proposing to America. She was pretty much cheating on him through the entire Selection. But this just shows, you don’t choose who you love and forgiveness is a strong part of loving someone.
