I really don't know what I expected but it wasn't this. I loved a few texts but most of them left me feeling dizzy and disconnected.
2 and a half stars.

I wanted to read this because of the magical realism combined with historical fiction and women being overlooked by history. And by overlooked I mean purposefully silenced.

And I loved the book for that. But most of all I fell in love with the story of those two siblings and their relationship. So true and heartwarming and brutal at times.
