I liked this quite a bit and appreciate how it gives some insight into a modern immigrant experience for middle grade kids

So many ghosts… this has a lot going on, but held my attention better than I expected

I had this on my “want to read” for a while. I have to say at the start (I listened to an audiobook version) I was kind of “meh” but at a point I was hooked! By the end I was offering to clean the kitchen so I had more alone time to finish listening! (That is high praise for someone who doesn’t like to clean)

I hope to remember the comment that our ancestors push open doors for us - I think that is a lovely thought.

Re-read this (listened to the audiobook version actually) - had originally read a lot of the series in high school… still light and enjoyable, not bad to pass time

Yelling is not the best solution to all problems ;)

I wanted to like this, but I didn’t understand the conclusion at all for the Winceworth part of the story… Maybe because I was listening to an audiobook version instead of reading on paper? I don’t know - I did not understand what was going on - or what the significance of the explosion was (it felt like it must have been something significant)

As a mom, I was not the target audience for this… I found it terrifying :) My reading partner who is the target audience *did* really enjoy it

Read this the first time a long time ago - relistened to it as an audio book

I expected sexy witches (check!)… I didn’t expect a mystery storyline - not super mysterious but it held my attention for sure and made for a quick read

Wow - binged that :)

Super sexy and entertaining story… now to put holds on all her books…
