Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of Heathens by Alta Hensley. Narrated by Marie Hawkins and Robin Blake.
Locke has increasingly become obsessed with Storee. So when the opportunity comes to play a game of cat and mouse, he takes his chance. Storee is just in it for the thrill and no clue Locke is the one stocking her.
This is dark and I suggest reading the trigger warnings.
I felt a lot of the story is redundant and lacks substance. The internal monologue the two main characters give us, is recycled constantly. Almost the exact same wording.
The voice actors did well matching their characters. It’s clear they both tried to demonstrate the range of emotions.
Overall, I was disappointed with the story itself and writing.

Thank you to NetGalley and MacMillian Children’s Publishing Group for the opportunity to read Tuck Everlasting: A Graphic Novel by Natalie Babbitt and illustrated by K. Woodman - Maynard.
Winnie Foster is very bit a young child of 11 years old. She is restricted to her home and yard. Unfortunately, Winnie feels lonely and lost and looking for an adventure. She ends up running into an older teen, named Jesse Tuck. Jesse introduces Winnie to his family and they share their life stories with her.
The story follows Winnie’s journey to personal growth and understanding life.
The images are beautiful and pleasing to the eye. Great emotions depict through the images.
