Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Audio for the opportunity to listen to the novel, Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin.

Ben and Mylie are from a small town called, Clay Creek, in Arkansas. Both have drifted apart after Ben moved away. Unfortunately, Ben returns under less than enthusiastic circumstances.

Both Mylie and Ben are faced with their past. Friendship, unresolved emotions, and everything unspoken before.

Amanda Stribling narrates this book. I felt she voiced Mylie well. I do wish she gave more emotions and definitive separation in voicing the other characters.

I recommend for those who want to read a small town romance and Friends to lovers trope.

Thank you to NetGalley and RBmedia for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook Gothictown by Emily Carpenter and narrated by Cassandra Campbell.

Peter and Billie Hope decide to move into a Victorian house in a town known as, Gentle Juliana.

Billie in particular is eager for a fresh start for her family. Especially after several upsetting situations happened one after the other, including the 2020 pandemic.

After the Hope family moves and begins to settle in their new home,  the town is everything imagined… until it isn’t.

Haunting nightmares, misunderstandings and several town secrets begin to weigh heavy on both Billie and Peter.

I would call this a slow burn mystery.
Definitely engaging and keeps you curious.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group for the opportunity to read It’s a Love Story by Annabel Monaghan.

It took me a while to get into the story. Once I was able to connect to the characters, it became easier to submerge in their world.

I appreciate the story within the story. Life imitating art. You don’t realize I deep this story goes until you’re in the thick of it. I felt the characters were well rounded and the journey a thoughtful one. Truly felt as if I was apart of their ups and downs. It’s an experience.

This was a lot of fun and I could relate to the characters. I recommend anyone giving this book a chance.

I, unfortunately struggled with this one. I couldn’t connect with the characters and I felt the pacing was slow. I really wanted to like it since several friends enjoyed this one.
