Opposites attract in this sapphic romance set on a flower farm. Adorable and steamy. (Level 5/5, multiple scenes on the page) 🔥

Rapunzel meets Drag Me To Hell. At one point while reading this I felt one of my own hairs in my mouth and in trying to get it out I started swallowing it, so basically this book is cursed. Nicely done. John Durgin is a local author and a friend and I deeply enjoyed reading this book. Marta, the witch, is FUCKED. What a nasty creature. Really fun Horror take on an already pretty horrific fairy tale. 

The murder didn’t even happen until halfway through and it still took me until like 86% of the way through to figure out who had done it, despite having spent so much time learning about every single character. A detective I am not. Set in a small Irish town, a man comes to town claiming there’s gold in them there hills. Lots of small town drama, family drama, and a murder most foul. I really like the main character of Cal Hooper. He’s a good dude. 

Imagine being a child and your parents are accused of being pedophilic satanists who abused children for years inside of their home daycare. Set during the satanic panic of the 80s, this is a story of family, of trust, of satanism, of love, of the American justice system, of homophobia, of transphobia, of truth. 

Sizzling chemistry in this friends to lovers, fake-ish dating rom com. Both main characters have given up on love. He’s now an “objector”, hired to object at weddings when the bride or groom wants out but can’t break off the wedding for various reasons. In fact, he’s hired to object at HER wedding after she discovers her fiancé cheating on her but can’t break up the wedding herself because her future father in law is her dad’s boss and she doesn’t want to risk his career. She and the objector reconnect after he sets her free from her failed relationship and she joins him as an objector. They discover that they have off the charts chemistry, and since they each have their own reasons to make their friends/family/coworkers think they’re in a relationship, they spend a LOT of time together and will definitely not actually fall in love because love doesn’t exist…right? 😉 Level 5/5 on the steam scale for intense chemistry and multiple on the page scenes. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Romance novel where the main character eventually breaks up with her obviously awful boyfriend and then falls for the guy across the hall (who becomes her roommate after her previous roommate and his previous roommate start dating and decide to move in together). It felt a bit unbalanced because so much time was spent with the original boyfriend, but the friends to lovers relationship is very cute. I don’t love the title (he’s very sweet and shy and awkward and says multiple times that he doesn’t want anyone to She’s All That him, but that kind of naturally happens anyway…) and I wish we got more of their relationship, but it’s fine, the HEA is there. Steam level 2/5. Everything is off the page and nothing even happens until the last 20% of the book. 

Murder mystery written by the daughter of the creators of Antiques Road Show! Very fun murder mystery. Lovable characters, great drama and dynamics. 

Based on a song by CLPPNG (Daveed’s rap group), imagining that mermaids are the descendants of slaves thrown overboard. Beautiful. Powerful. 

What if The Bachelor cast got annihilated by Lady Bigfoot? There was a distinct lack of cuddling in this book, as we follow The Catch (Bachelor) cast instead of Patricia (Lady Bigfoot). Not gonna lie, I was kind of hoping for a humorous Sapphic Bigfoot Romance, but I will absolutely take the brutal destruction of vapid reality tv show influencers. 

What wouldn’t a mother do for her child?
