The murder didn’t even happen until halfway through and it still took me until like 86% of the way through to figure out who had done it, despite having spent so much time learning about every single character. A detective I am not. Set in a small Irish town, a man comes to town claiming there’s gold in them there hills. Lots of small town drama, family drama, and a murder most foul. I really like the main character of Cal Hooper. He’s a good dude.
