A reality show takes a dark turn after a storm leaves several people stranded on an island. People are dying, and not just from the elements. 

Very cute romance between a sports agent and an NFL star, who happens to also be her ex from college. There’s still tons of chemistry between them, and oops they get drunk and married in Vegas and then have to fake being a real couple to save face with the media. You’ll never guess what happens next. ;) Great chemistry, adorable banter, lots of fun feminism and men standing up for women to other men. Level 4/5 on the Steam scale. Lots of on the page kissing, one on the page steamy scene in the last third. 

Katherine Center writes swooning love stories for people who dream of Hollywood and being swept up by celebrities. This main character was painfully obtuse, which drove me crazy, and I feel like I missed the part where the characters fell in love? Like, Emma is simply obsessed with Charlie - he’s her favorite screenwriter - and he does fall in love with her but totally off the page until his final declaration. I felt like they didn’t have great chemistry and it was all kind of forced. Also didn’t love the cancer scare. I dunno, this one didn’t hit for me. 

Lauren discovers that her attic is suddenly magic when it produces a husband. When she sends the husband back up into the attic, a new one comes down. This begins a whirlwind year or so of rotating husbands and changing lives and self-discovery and examinations of relationships and priorities. It’s at times funny, other times bittersweet other times sad, a lot like life. It’s nuanced and sweet and lovely, while being wildly creative. A great read. 

If you love Legends & Lattes and you want those vibes but with more adventure, this is the book for you. 
A queens guard runs away with her mage girlfriend to open a bookshop. There is adventure and dragons and griffins and small town drama and queen drama, and it’s delightful. 

If you’ve ever fantasized about rounding up the worst of the worst of the billionaires and giving them exactly what they deserve, this book is for you. It’s ultra violent and wildly cathartic. Eat the rich. Or at least torture and kill them. 

Immortality and love and magic and a competition and betrayal and so much more. A beautiful dark fantasy novel. Leigh Bardugo is a fantastic writer. 

A writer creates a cemetery where she buries her unfinished manuscripts. The ghosts of characters from these stories talk to the groundskeeper so their stories can finally be told. 
It’s all family histories and all connected in a huge web. Really lovely book. Not my typical genre, but if you like lit fic, you’ll like this.

Whatever you do, don’t hunt down all four of these cursed records and play them simultaneously or you will open a gate between life and death and you will not like the consequences (like seeing dead people and also your own death)
This book rocks and is great for horror fans who also dig good music. 

Gorgeous illustrations and a creepy story open to various interpretations. A cat, a countess, a whole bunch of missing people, and a promise made. This book is dark and seductive and gory and beautiful.
