Although there were of good qualities in the book, to me it just didn’t feel like it was finished. I thought there would be a 2nd book since it is a series but I haven’t seen it anywhere. Plot wise I was engaged. This book was a lot of uncovering secrets that people were hiding to figure out who murdered Danny Lartimer. The murderer was someone completely unexpected and how they came to murder Danny was mind boggling. It showed me you can never really know anyone.
The book could have been shorter than it was. Some chapters didn’t seem to be needed. I felt like they were added just to make the book longer. And yes I do understand that this was adapted from a tv series so that might have something to do with it.
So in all this was a decent thriller.

I would 100% recommend this book to anyone especially fans of thrillers. The writing style hooks you; the past and present giving you glimpses into what happened but leaving on edge, wanting more. The secrets kept and how they brought everyone together. It was well done. This is my first time reading a Loreth Anne White book and I’ve been thoroughly impressed!
