This felt like it talked down to its audience in a way I know I would have hated if I was 9-12 when I read it. It’s a shame, the concept was cool.

Painfully slow to start but when it picks up it is absolutely golden. This is one for Locked Tomb fans and those that love sapphic pining in fantasy.

This book was beautifully written but ultimately I felt no compulsion to keep going. Despite being over a quarter of the way in I felt very little happened and did not feel the need to find out.
