It was a cute quick read. I loved that witches had different magic and that Miriam had to learn to accept what hers was. I do wish that there was more of an explanation for why Miriam’s map brought them to each location other than it having a lot of magic and why couldn’t they at least research the locations better before going. 

Oh my gosh this book had me guessing throughout the whole book and left my jaw hanging at the ending. The characters were frustrating for me but it worked for the story.  There were some parts that I kinda felt like were on the slow side but the short chapter lengths helped a lot with it. I definitely felt like I needed therapy for what the characters had to go through by the time I finished the book. I never want to experience anything like that.

Loved Rose and Fionn together! The Suture Sisters were so funny! I loved how they just fueled Rose’s project! Barbara sounded so cute and funny in the end. Sloane & Lark were so supportive and welcoming to Rose which was amazing to read. I enjoyed the timeline overlapping with both of the previous books and finding out what happened to Rose to land her at Fionns with a broken leg. The epilogues and their POVs was a nice touch, one kinda coming full circle and the other opening a door for spin offs. I still can’t decide if I liked Butcher & Blackbird or Scythe & Sparrow more. 

Intriguing magic system, almost vampire like but not quite. I enjoyed the FMC, I liked that she was the morally grey character vs it being the MMC it was a nice change of pace. That being said, there were a few times in the story that she did things that didn't seem to align with how she was described/portrayed. I am curious about where this story is going to go in Lord of Ruin (book 2).

I enjoyed the magic system in this book. I wasn’t expecting the ending, I’m really curious about the next book. 

Cute read just like A Lodge Affair. I really enjoy how this author gives mental health representation in this novella and in A Lodge Affair. As well as the positive outlook on therapy, even with the MMC and the positive work/life balance encouragement. And of course Slate still sounded adorable. 

Cute read. I loved how adorable and loved Slate(dog) sounded. Also the mental heath representation with Ivy’s character and positivity about being in therapy. I enjoyed how Holland was with Ivy overall. I did feel like the spicy scenes were just crammed into the end. 

I really enjoyed finding out what happened to Molly pre and post journal entries! I absolutely loved the ending meeting Zade and Addie 🫶 I feel like it would have been kind of healing for both of them. I really want to know what happened after their meeting.

Loved getting Sibby’s POV and some of her story. She’s so unhinged I do wish there was more on her escape from the psych ward and getting back to Zade and Addie tho.
