Intriguing magic system, almost vampire like but not quite. I enjoyed the FMC, I liked that she was the morally grey character vs it being the MMC it was a nice change of pace. That being said, there were a few times in the story that she did things that didn't seem to align with how she was described/portrayed. I am curious about where this story is going to go in Lord of Ruin (book 2).
