I had a hard time finishing this book. It was a slow read for me. The story was difficult to follow and none of the characters were particularly distinctive. I might try reading it again in the future to see if I feel differently about it.

Strangest Lisa See book I've read and it's not as well written as Snow Flower or any of her other books. I was NOT expecting a supernatural novel. I appreciate the amount of research See puts into her work, but I was hoping for something with a more defined plot.

This whole series was just "meh." I don't think I'd read them again.
