I felt like the concept fell flat and was very cluttered. The adult characters seemed to be more of a focus than the pre-teen protagonists. The kids were treated by after thoughts to the plot or concept of the plot. Maybe the rest of the series gets better, but I don't want to read it.
This is a beautifully designed book, but unfortunately the content just fell flat for me. I expected more from Estee, who is normally so well spoken and thoughtful in her videos. I kept expecting her to expand on her stories, but she skipped over everything so quickly. I feel like too much was stuffed into one book. In the future, I'd love to see a structured memoir or book of essays from Estee.
This really wasn't much. I was expecting a heftier volume of myths from Gaiman. It was still enjoyable. I was just expecting more.
Ugh this book was awful. I was expecting an interesting, first-person perspective thriller. Instead I got an ugly book with a guy lusting after a girl. Nothing new or thought provoking. I won't be reading the sequel.
Not bad, but a bit boring. This felt like a cheap Walmart fiction or a Christian romance novel ( despite the swearing and sex).
