If I was going to pick the cutest story I've read this year, this would be the one. I was drawn to it by title and cover illustration which both seemed so sweet and cute and that's exactly what I got, I had a really cosy time reading it.
The plot, at least of this first volume, is admittedly very minimal and depends a lot on the reader being familiar with the Isekai trope/sub-genre. It's very much a story for dog lovers, cosy fantasy that's all about the vibes. No doubt many people will dislike it for that reason but I loved it. The art is frankly adorable.
The manga is adapted from a light novel and I'm fully intending to listen to the audiobook of that LN - I suspect it will be the perfect book to listen to while walking my own dogs.

This has potential. I really like the concept of the magic artisan, and the isekai premise (as minor as it is in this manga) does provide a convincing reason for designing devices similar to those in the real world. At times this was a cute and cosy read, especially in scenes with Dahlia's father or friends.
Unfortunately there's a big part of this first volume dedicated to a (non-romantic) betrothal, and I found it both unnecessary and frustrating (also, warning for controlling behaviour from early in the relationship). It rather detracted from the earlier cosy tone and wasn't developed enough to be worth reading in its own right.
Overall this was reasonably decent and I might try a sequel or two before deciding whether to continue the series long-term.
