Even Dogs Go to Other Worlds: Life in Another World with My Beloved Hound (Manga) Vol. 1
by Ryuuou, Hana Ichika
If I was going to pick the cutest story I've read this year, this would be the one. I was drawn to it by title and cover illustration which both seemed so sweet and cute and that's exactly what I got, I had a really cosy time reading it.
The plot, at least of this first volume, is admittedly very minimal and depends a lot on the reader being familiar with the Isekai trope/sub-genre. It's very much a story for dog lovers, cosy fantasy that's all about the vibes. No doubt many people will dislike it for that reason but I loved it. The art is frankly adorable.
The manga is adapted from a light novel and I'm fully intending to listen to the audiobook of that LN - I suspect it will be the perfect book to listen to while walking my own dogs.
