I couldnt get into this book and connect with the characters and the storyline

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an arc in exchange for my honest opinion 

I loved the first book in the series however I just couldn't connect with this one, I kept trying to push through it but it just wasn't working

Wasnt really feeling it

Would break the 4th wall at times and that wasnt a vibe

Found the main character very judgemental (the story is told as tho it's diary entries so could be part of the reason for it) and I just wasn't here for it

Idk why I just couldn't get into this, I think I'm just going to get the ebook and read it that was instead, I like the narrators it just wasn't clicking and that's a me thing kinda in a slump

3rd person really isn't my fave an I was struggling with it

Also kinda annoyed over both MCs claiming that they hate the other but think about them constantly (like I know there's a thin line between love and hate but it just irritated me and I cba to go through most of the book pretending they hated the other)

Might come back to this at some point and do it via audio instead

I keep waiting for it to get better and to become more invested in the relationship but I'm not and it's just painfully slow

Also not vibing with the female narrator

Just wasnt vibing with it and didnt reach for it when I wanted to read

The timeline is very confusing like I have zero clue when this is set / would move between present and past a lot and just wasnt working for me

Honestly kinda just got confused as to who was who - being written in third person its always something that i can struggle with and can get confused with it, especially if their povs within it arent clearly labelled, and just wasnt invested enough to continue 

Didn't really have an interest in the story/the characters
