A thrilling story
I really enjoyed this duology and how the same mystery was spread across two books instead of two separate stories. I enjoyed the characters, how they were all different and the different narratives really helped the story flow. Although after a while it did become obvious that it could only be one of the girls who was the killer. I really enjoyed the twist but I'm not sure how I feel about it in conclusion to the story. I was kind of hoping that it was someone just put for revenge, or even a group of people working g together, like the same way the girls originally were for their prank. It was interesting how things played out but I do feel the confusion was rushed, and as the girls were so close for weeks, there was no real explanation on how NOBODY saw what was going on with Julie. Especially since she mentioned Parker multiple times the other girls never said a word till the end.
Neverless. I really really enjoyed this story. It was interesting, complex and really forced me to use my brain to try and put all the clues together. I've never read anything by Sara Shepard before but I will be picking up more of her works in future and maybe even give PLL a go. Highly recommend if your looking for a fast paced mystery to devour

Long live the king
I grew up in the legends of king Arthur and I adore everything and anything to do with Camelot. This book was incredible. I thought it was a stand alone but I am delighted there is a sequel on the way and can't wait to read it. It was a nice twist on the old tale, Arthur in space, and I liked how events and history repeated for Merlin and Morgana (two deeply complex and interesting characters) I also loved the fact that Morgana wasn't Turkey evil and Merlin wasn't perfectly good but they learned from their past and they were both acting out on profound loss. What I especially enjoyed from this novel was it was set in a world where being gay, bi, trans, non-binary and lesbian was the norm and words like homophobia or racism did not exist. That was beautiful and I hope we can live in a world like that one day (without intergalactic evil company's of course)
Overall a refreshing spin on the old tale with a fresh set of Knights and a new round table on an epic space mission. It was slightly confusing at first but once I got into the flow of it I was lost in this AMAZING world. Fans of Merlin will love this and you don't have to know the tales of King Arthur to enjoy. Highly recommend.

How delightfully wicked.
I wanted to wait till closer to November to read this but I just couldn't wait and I'm glad I didnt. Holly Black has opened me to a new world of possibilities in New stories in a genre I didn't think I would enjoy. I enjoy fantasy novels but stories about elves and fairies never appealed to me. But the Cruel Prince change that and the Wicked King has only cemented the fact that this is now one of my favorite genres.
The court politics, the scheming all reminds me of Game of Thrones, and Holly Black has created an impressive and beautiful world full of complex characters where you have to be wary of everything. I really love the relationship between Jude and Cardan, their hate for each other, and their mural respect and building.... I don't want to say love but it's something along those lines. The story was fast paced and I just fell into Elfhame, trying to see through all the lies and admire the beauty. I cannot wait for the next instalment. This series is fantastic, and full of magic and I want more. More more more!

Captivating
This is the first book I've read that was written in verse and I really really enjoyed it. Very very quick read, and the story pulled me right in. The imagery that was created was powerful and I liked how everything was connected. The characters though process jumped around a lot like it usually does when grief is still very fresh and raw...still in shock almost, and this kept it very real, and easy to resonate with, although it took me a minute to get into the flow, only because I'm not used to this particular way of writing but It was a new experience i enjpyed. It was an interesting story and although I was put off at the idea that this was written in verse, I'm glad I picked it up and next time I come across a book written in verse, I won't turn my nose up at it so easily.

A world of God's and Monsters
Highly enjoyed this retelling of the myth of Achillies. I love Greek mythology and ledgends, and this is one of my favorite stories. I would have given it five stars but I feel it dragged on some places and I feel the ending was a little rushed after what happened with Patroclus.
I loved that at the forefront this was about the relationship and love between Patroclus and Achillies. A LGBT love story set in a time where Gods ruled supreme. It was a bit difficult watching the boys grow up knowing what happens in the end but it didn't make it any less enjoyable.
The story of Achillies freshly told and Madeline Miller did an excellent job bringing these legends to life again! I cannot wait to read Circe next!!

I could go on and on about this but I'll keep it short.
This was incredible. As a die hard buffy fan I was a bit sceptical about this but I'm addicted. Taking the core of the show (the characters, relationships,) and throwing it into the modern world from the beginning was a genius move. This was such a fun read from start to finish. Bold moves throughout. The characters were true to their tv counterparts and I highly enjoyed the fact that there are characters in it that we don't meet till later seasons. Like Anya. And how Jenny Calender is already Giles girlfriend. Also the fact that willow is openly gay in high school is brilliant.
I can't fault this in anyway. It's a brilliant rework and a joyful experience and I look forward to seeing where this takes us!

I'm a sucker for any novel featuring witches and this was one hell of a find for me. It was sensational. I enjoyed that the witches lived dual lives and had to be extra careful, especially since the Coven lives in salem and are decentdants from the trails, and how heavy the witchcraft element is in the town. I really liked the idea of Clans, reminded me of Cate Tiernans sweep, and I adored how the main character was a lesbian and there was a trans character. The magic was interesting and all the characters (even veronica) were enjoyable and easy to fall in love with. This book kept me guessing (even though I figured out the Hunter a while before the reveal) but I'm good at stuff like that. It was a joyful, suspenseful emotional rollercoaster that left me in tears and I can't wait for the second one! My new faveorite book of the year!
Sometimes pain was like a storm, that came out of nowhere.
I cannot express how much I loved this book. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went into it but it was a truly beautiful piece. The characters, the writing, the narrative, all which pulled be into this wonderful coming of age novel. It was funny, sarcastic and sometime I wanted to hit the narrator out of frustration but that's what made this story incredible. I learned a lot from it. Highly recommend 12/10
