The story continues to steamroll, with some of my favourite elements being added - two lgbtq characters and vampires. This series does move very quickly and relies on the art alot for story telling, but it gives it this spooky quality and kind of sets you on edge a little, evoking the feeling that danger is around every corner. Really enjoyed this issue.

A great follow up. This volume cements the story and direction more, I think than volume 1. The family bonds continue to grow and strengthen and we begin to see each characters uniqueness. The artwork is weirdly beautiful and creepy and brings a wholesome macarbe vibe to this series.

I've been meaning to read this since i watched the Netflix show last year. Like the Adams family meets Constantine meets every monster Hunter family trope, but with its own uniqueness. The art was gorgeous - dark and gritty and really fits in well with this type of story, but the humour and character relationships are what really made this an addicting read.

This omnibus was fun but it had it's ups and downs. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hatchet, and the Zombies vs Cheerleaders crossovers; but the addition of other dimensions and superheroes kind of turns it into a chaotic mess. Theres a sense of continuity that is seeping through, but please can we just get rid of the jellyfish aliens?

This series is addicting in the way that bad, cheesy horror films are. I didnt enjoy this volume as much as the last two though.  I feel the whole "Archie parody world" was a little unnecessary, and instead of a whole new bunch of villians, we find a rehash of old baddies and storylines. But the violence and humour more than made up for that, and so did the addition of the slasher cult.

An enjoyable continuation of the series. Essentially "buffy" but instead our MC hunts Revenants, or "slashers." Slasher films are my favourite and this comic embodies all the elements of a slasher film:  Full of gore, scares, humour and a sort of meta element that's remincisent of Scream. I will say I think all the "panty flashes" and boob jokes are a little unnecessary, and it gives this series a "dude vibe" that's kind of off-putting.

I've been looking forward to reading this for a while and it didn't disappoint. It's like Gossip girl meets scream but not in the way you expect.

It's obvious Goldy is a massive fan of the horror franchise and it shows, with subtle nods to popular horror films and literature, we are immersed into a world of it as we follow The Mary Shelley Club, which is like the breakfast club, but for horror fans.

It was spooky and mysterious, and difficult to tell where it was heading as we sped along to the climax but I was really suprised how it all played out. Since it was dubbed "like Scream" I was expecting something different along the lines of the plot but it absolutly did give me scream vibes. It was refreshing to follow a group of students who loved horror and a different approach to your typical YA horror/mystery novel, with all of the meta knowledge that made Scream such an iconic film.

There were a few small issues with me, such as the mundane day to day life of teenage drama but it was also necessary as most of the novel plays out against the background of an elite prep school, but it didn't ruin the story for me.

It was incredibly fast paced and a thrilling read and it was hard to tell where it was going, and there was also the element of "who can I trust."

In the end, I couldn't put it down, and I was impressed and delighted with the ending. I hope we get a sequel.

This series just gets better and better; what started off as a confusing jumble, has now transformed into a lucrative storyline that feels like it could be a season of buffy in itself (although it takes place during season 4). I enjoyed the Angel crossovers and the use of some characters popping up from various buffy novels  but it can be confusing to where exactly it takes place as there isn't  many references to the show so I'm not considering this canon, but still a fun extension of the buffy verse.

Much better instalment than the previous one. This one kept up with the storyline from the last volume, but without loads of random filler. Changing artistic elements such as giving willow her "season 3" hair and getting rid of the lizard vampires was a massive improvement. I don't get the whole spike and dru floating in the background because they left Sunnydale in season 2 but other than that it was an enjoyable read with a nice flow. The writers seemed to have found their groove with the direction they wanted to go with and it didn't seem as chaotic as the first volume.

It was an enjoyable read but sometimes I did feel like it was confusing and the quick jokes and humour that we love about Buffy didn't translate well on paper, and often felt like the characters were just randomly saying something out of thin air. Wasn't really a fan of the vampires being big green monsters either.

It kind of felt a little like fan fiction and not offical cannon. Also it states that this takes place in season 3 but it feels more like season 2, as their is mentions of spike and dru being quiet. But the little boy in me who grew up on buffy did find it a fun and quick.
