Things go to bad to worse in this volume, with the characters actions spawning consequence after consequence, rifts and fractures in friendships, and the looming threat of expulsion. Things do kind of slow down in this volume, but I found that a nice change of pace as it's been so action packed up until this point.

This is so messed up and I love it. It's intense and chaotic but I deals with some very difficult subjects, with an element of snark and sass to it. I really started to warm up to the characters more. The teenage drama doesn't feel overdone or boring either - the fact that they are in a school for assassins only adds and elevates the drama, and it doesn't get boring or tired.

I was compelled to give this a shot after being recommended it a few times and I'm so glad i did. The characters are complex and intriguing; the story is violent, dark and gritty, and the stakes are so high it's unreal. It's outrageous and over the top, but there's also an real element to it, with family drama, demons that haunt you, and teenage debauchery

I enjoyed this adaptation - it was decent and the cast were great, especially Tatiana maslany as dodge, but I did feel a little confused by the narrative as it didn't tell you where or when the scenes were happening. But that just might be be as I'm not used to audio books.

I enjoyed this way more than the last volume. Although some of the stories I had already read in the legacy editions, I didn't actually mind rereading them. Whereas the last two volumes felt like canon, these are more in line with the storyline from the Dark Horse Comic series, acting as fun little filler episodes. The snappy dialogue that's done so well in the series falls a little short here, but the speedy narritive, artwork and storytelling more than make up for it

Not as enjoyable as the first one. This volume jumps around alot, from pre season 1, then to seasons 2 and 3. The best story was " a stake to the heart." It dealt with the aftermath of buffy parents divorce and the stages of grief (and of course, demons.) I really loved the artwork for this one too. Instead of the chronological order the first book had, this felt jumbled and chaotic. As much as I love Buffy, the bad outshines the good in this volume. I found myself bored for the most part.

This was a great omnibus - all the stories taking place pre season 1. I didn't really much care for the Spike and Dru storyline because it just felt a little messy and out of character for them. I loved the retelling of the buffy movie with the tv characters likeness and the fact that the next two stories filled the gap between her expulsion and where Season 1 begins. We find out what went on with Pike and what went down during her stay in a mental home. It was great to see the family dynamics as buffy struggled to deal with every day life and her new destiny. Dawn being present was also a fun addition.
The art was okay - typical of the buffy comics but I really enjoyed this bind up. It was incredibly nostalgic and an exciting addition to the buffyverse.

Delightfully wicked, steamy and sexy. After an excruciating wait I finally got to experience this and I was not disappointed. I love the way Maniscalco has painted her version of hell and all the Circles. Its terrfiying and dangerous but also so beautiful, intriguing and addictive. We finally got to meet the other princes (I'm particularly fond of Pride and Gluttony,) and more of the mystery has started to unravel.
It was definitely more character driven than plot, but I didn't actually mind that. There was so much character development and so many layers peeled back. All the things that frustrated me in book one were washed away, the main one being Emilias use of magic because she didn't feel like much of a witch in book one.
I'm intrigued by the politics of the Wicked and I find myself dying to know more.
I knocked of half a star though because I wasn't suprised anything that happened in the last few chapters. I suspected it since book the end of book 1, and it was glaringly obvious throughout book 2 - I just felt like I was waiting for the shoe to drop.
But still highly addictive and enjoyable. I'm in love with this world and Wrath and Emilia are such amazing characters.
Book three now please.

Im not really sure how a group of teens summoned a demon that resembles Baphomet through a ouiji board but, here we are I guess? This felt far too chaotic for what was building up to be a great work of horror fiction. I enjoyed the character arcs, especially with Geoff, and the art was breathtaking as usual, but I felt this started to slip away from what the previous instalments were trying to do.

I enjoyed this volume, but it felt a little more chaotic than the previous ones. The supernatural element is still strong and the characters continue to grow but it did feel It was missing something. However I do think Niles and and Worm work insanely well together and have created a beautiful strong horror story that is an incredible fun, spooky October read.
