One of the best political fantasies I have ever read. Hobb grabs your attention in the best possible way, and leads you by the hand through this incredible and dangerous cutthroat world. Her way of writing is so beautiful and just builds layers upon layers of emotions and tension. Her characters are so well developed, and none of them overlooked. I can't even fully put into words how I feel about this series. I'm mostly just a bit starstruck, to be honest

I really enjoy this, but it was alot slower than I thought it would be and did feel like it was just building the base for later books. However, that didn't make it any less epi or compelling. The story was so complex without being complicated and the characters so well written I could easily picture them as I watched their lives play out. At times i felt certain aspects of it were drawn out for too long, and other parts not as long as i would have liked. I really enjoyed the tension and anxiety as you never really knew what was going to happen, especially since Kvothe was truly on his own and straddling the fine line between complete poverty and barely scraping by. I can see why this book is loved by so many people.

The Raven Boys drew me in, but after reading TDT I am thoroughly obsessed with this series. I wasn't sure about Ronan in the last book but this boy stole my heart in this one. I still want to punch him hard in the face though. And Adam Parrish must be protected at all costs. Gansey is starting to grow on me, Blue is fantastic, Noah is a sweetheart and the Fox Way Psychics are legendary. The magic is so subtle and cool and I was transfixed by the writing and the way these characters interact with the world and each other. I'm so mad at myself for not giving this a proper chance years ago but better late than never.

So part of me feels loke this was a darker, sexier, fanfiction of Twilight mixed in with Dexter in a way (minus the vampires) but I loved it. It was dark and chaotic and smutty, full of loveable psychopaths. Check trigger warnings before you pick it up because the subject matter is pretty dark and bleak.

This was such a beautiful, bleak and disturbing novel and I ate up every minute of it. Everyone is calling it a "love letter to slashers," but that's exactly what it was. Every horror reference or trivia fact had me smiling amd geeking out so much and this is a book I've waited to long for it. Its intense, bloody and mysterious. Is our MC watching a real life slasher film play out in her small town? Or is it all in her head?

This was outstanding. I was hooked from the start and I couldn't put it down. The characters, especially Bree, were brilliant and well written, and the plot was such an awesome twist on the legend of King Arthur. Dark Academia mixed with fantasy elements that shouldn't work, but work flawlessly, blended in with very real issues such as grief and racism - this was a wild ride from start to finish. *chefs kiss* ; cannot reccomend enough.

I enjoyed this sequel - it was fun and fluffy but it wasn't different in any way from the first book. It was the same messy drama and not much character development. It felt like Mikey was put in just to be an obstacle for the two mcs getting back together and i felt so bad for him. As someone who has been in a similar situation it ruined the book in a way for me. Ben and Arthur didn't really seem to care about the consequences their drama caused for anyone either. Dylan and Sam were absolute legends, as always.
