Excellent continuation of the series. I am really enjoying Samantha Brinkman and her cast of friends. These are fast paced legal thrillers and I can't wait to read the next one. In this work Sam is brought in to represent a young teen who is accused of killing her family. As Sam digs more and more into the murder she starts to question whether her client is actually guilty or innocent. Sam's past plays a huge part in this work and her loyal friends are there to support her. I don't want to spoil this thriller for anyone, but the twists are satisfying as you see how Sam puts together her case. Great sub-plots going on with characters from the first in the series. Definitely helps to read these in order.

Wonderful kids/pre-teen book about 4 sisters who have many adventures while on summer vacation with their Dad. I really enjoyed this book. I cannot wait to read it aloud to my little ones. The 4 sisters were all different in personalities and came at their adventures from different angles. The adults were portrayed accurately, at least through the eyes of the kids. I thought the kids were very age appropriate too. The beginning of what seems to be a fabulous series!
The tale of the 4 Plumb siblings and how money, or lack of it, has defined their lives. The Plumb siblings were promised by their late father a sum of money that they have termed "the nest" upon the youngest turning 40 years old. Each one of the siblings has fallen upon hard times and has built the money up in their minds as their saving grace. What happens when that money is used to bail out one of the siblings from a dire situation. Making the money no longer available to the others. Chaos. Hatred. Greed. A very interesting read. Not very happy, but gives you great insight into a large dysfunctional family-no one is perfect, but sibling rivalry can be brutal. Going to be a good book club discussion.
I enjoyed this book, it's all about starting over and finding your purpose once life throws you a hardball. Judy is suffering from immense grief. Her husband of 30 years has recently passed. She no longer is employed. She is struggling with middle age, with an elderly mother and a daughter who is too busy for her. Her daughter shakes things up by asking Judy to watch her 2 children while she and her husband go to work on a relief mission for 6 wks. 6 wks turns into just over 3 months and Judy's world is completely turned upside down with taking care of her grandchildren. It just goes to show you that everyone needs a purpose and with a little motivation you can change your entire outlook on life. A heartwarming story that was slow at times.
