So far so good! I was incredibly disappointed in the ending of the anime, and a friend is letting me borrow the manga.

Started reading this because a friend needs someone to discuss it with. So here I am, reading stuff I'd never pick up in a million years. With that being said, I am not a harem fan. He did warn me though. I'm teetering on a 2.5, 2.75 for this. At least the harem kind of has a reason. But overall, it was meh.

3.5 stars

Parts of this book really gripped me and left me wanting more. But the other part of it was just blah to me. I expected more i guess and unfortunately i was glad when it was over.

This was an entrancing read. It definitely reads like mythology, which really wraps you up into the story itself.

I have never heard of Circe, nor am I very educated in Greek mythology. I can tell you very basics, even though it is something that I really like.

Circe tells us a story of a Titan who is banished because she is a witch. That was really enough to hook me forever. I never felt like the story was slow or boring. There was many times we jumped many years ahead because it didn't need to be dragged out, which is something I love a lot when it comes to books. This is a gripping, page turning story that I devoured.

I highly recommend this book if you even have a remote interest in Greek mythology or strong female characters.

I really wasn't expecting much out of this and was a little nervous to read it. Well turns out I LOVED IT and couldn't put it down. While the story was not needed, I feel like it was the cherry on top of the ice cream. I can't wait to read the next one!!

I recieved an arc of The Wicked King from a Goodreads giveaway.

UGH!!! I can't even begin to describe this book without spoiling it... so I will just say this... I AM AN EMOTIONAL TRAINWRECK AND WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT OVER A YEAR FOR THE SEQUEL?!

Now that I have that out of my system, prepare yourself before you read this. Listen to Be Prepared from The Lion King if you have to!! Nothing will truly prepare you though... especially for the ending.

This rating is so difficult and I may change it by the end of the week. I didn't actually enjoy this book until the last 100 or 150 pages. The beginning was really slow and I didn't really care about the characters. I kept reading hoping it would get better, and it did finally. The writing style was also king of odd to me. I finally cared about if Lu would regain the throne until almost the end. That is when, I feel, the biggest twists occur and really make this is a worthy story.

I will be reading the sequel, but I can't see myself longing to pick this up again soon and having it on my mind for a long time.

3.75 stars. I liked the first half, didn't like the second half. It's one of those situations where I don't know how to explain my feelings... I'm glad I read it though and NOW I'm ready for Bloodwitch.

4.5 stars!

This book took me a while to finish because of life... but this was beyond incredible! Mia and Mr Kindly have to be some of the most amazing characters I have ever read. This book has everything, but mostly stabby stab, and of course that is what we want!

I will say, while I appreciate the additional information in the footnotes, it can be very distracting! I think this will really help appreciation in a reread though in the future.

Pick this book up immediately!
