4.5 stars. I think this was actually better than the first. It again was so good. Lots of action, kept me hooked the whole time, and I actually throughly enjoyed the romance in this book. I'm sad this is only a duology. I need more from the author. She engages me so much as a reader, and I am able to easily visualize what I am reading. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

4.5 stars!! I honestly wasn't expecting much from this since it was a novella and short. But SJM still managed to make me feel all the feels and then some. I came so close to crying the last page. Instead, I read the sneak peek at the next book. I can't wait!!!

4.5 stars!! I thoroughly enjoyed Cinder, and had heard the 2nd book was as amazing if not better. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and only put it down when work drug me away. I love, love, love this story.

I definitely put reading this off too long. Honestly though, the first half was only slightly boring. It still held my attention and made me want to keep reading though. I love the relationships on this book and the magic from the "thunder tiger." Can't wait to read the next book!!

Wow... I loved this book so much. It was funny, and of course throw some fantasy in and I'm hooked!!

These authors together are such a charm. I hope they continue to write together for a long while. Very excited for the next book.

I think I am finally out of my reading slump, and this book definitely did the trick. This was one of my most anticipated books this year, and it did not fail.

Where do I start with this review? I was really worried I was not going to enjoy this sequel since I loved the first book so much. I was very wrong. I was so involved with this book. I loved every minute and it really helped pull me out of my reading slump. It was rich and beautiful and gripping, even more so than the first one. We see Mira really develop more in this book and become her own person stepping out of the shadows that have come over her through her life.

I really love Jodi Meadows writing style, and hope she finds a way to expand this world past the triology centered around Mira.

And Aaru.... I love him. SO MUCH!

Thank you Jodi! Through and through for giving me a character that has anxiety that I can relate to. I think it has even helped with some of my own issues.

Here's the plain and simple fact about this book: it's beautiful and amazing and nothing can touch it!!!

First of all... LAZLO. Second of all... SARAI!!! There are not enough synonyms for the word love for this. This whole book again had me over the moon. Sequels always scare me, because what if they're not as good as the first book and you've waited all this time just to be disappointed? Well, this was the complete opposite of that. Total 180.

I felt the exact same magic as the first book. I felt all the feelings that whole time too. I experienced their joy, their terror, they laughs, their sorrow, all of it. When an author can make you feel the emotions the characters are feeling, that's how you know a book is fantastic.

5 stars isn't enough. I really hope Laini revisits this world soon. I am already itching to reread Muse of Nightmares.

This book really was not good, in my opinion. I didn't care about the characters one bit and I didn't care about the story. We are thrown in at the beginning and don't really get much character development on anyone. It bounces back and forth between modern day and previously, but it still doesn't build on the characters as much as I had hoped. I really wanted to love this book too.
