What a cute little book! Had never heard of it until I dug it out of one of my husband's old boxes. He pestered me to read it, and I'm glad I finally did.

I'm lingering at about 4.75 stars. But it's a very close 5. I really did love this book though. It really started picking up near the end. The love story in itself had me hooked. Continuing as quickly as I can!!

That ending though! Oh my goodness, this book just tore me apart. It took longer to read than I was hoping, due to work and exhaustion. But hey, that's alright. Anyways, I am super obsessed with this world Leigh has created. Alina is a beautiful conflicted character who is easy to relate to, but still is full of fantasy wonder! Her and Mal's relationship tears at my heartstrings so much.

I knew this was going to be amazing. I just didn't know it was going to be THIS amazing. Leigh writes stories so well. Her take on things is beautiful, and she managed to capture Diana's personality marvelously but still keep her slightly young and inexperienced. I loved the story if friendship in here. And I did NOT see the twist coming. I should have, but I didn't. I clung to ever character and every word and could not get enough. I wish that I could get more, but this also satisfies me quite well.

I can only say that SJM writes phenomal books and this one fit right in. Game changing stuff in this book, small update on Aelin at the end. Totally worth losing sleep over.

4.5 stars. Honestly, I had high expectations for this book. And almost all of them were exceeded. I related so much to Mira just about anxiety. Sure, she's pretty whiny the first half of the book. But what do you expect from a pampered princess who is thrown in jail?! I would be just an annoyingly whiny. But it contributes to her character development.

Did I forget to mention this book has dragons? I wanted dragons on every page, but again, development. This is definitely the first book in a series, but it sets it up well.

This book explores the aspects of Mira's life changing so drastically. I grew to love her for always wanting to do the right thing. And there is a lot of animal activism in here which really makes my heart sweet.

Bravo Jodi Meadows, I am now a fan!!!

This was beyond fantastic. I loved all of the little gaming references in this book. The characters are marvelous as well. Very well written characters that make you cling to ever word. I absolutely can not wait for the next book!!!

4.5 stars hands down. I had decent expectations for this book and they far exceeded them. I am very attached to this authors writing and I can't wait to read more from her in the future.

Wow, this was much better than I expected. Honestly, it was fairly predictable, but it was still immensely enjoyable to read and immerse myself in. I loved Cinder so much. All of her little quirks, and Iko! OMG! I can't wait to continue on with the series and see where all this goes.

This book didn't blow me away, but it wasn't terrible. The beginning was quite slow in my opinion, but definitely picked up about halfway through. All the little mentions to things that are very "Batman" are a nice little touch. It often had me smiling since Batman is one of my most favorite heros. I liked the new villains that were put into the story and into Gotham as well. Very happy I picked this one up overall
