I really enjoyed this book! Nora's voice was so strong and interesting and I loved following her POV. She is looking for a missing friend, which gets rolled into more investigating and I was so impressed by how she handled everything and everyone in the house; careful to get the facts and also stay safe, but also making her opinions heard.  I was shocked by so many of the twists and LOVED when she stood up to the bullies. I also love how she stood up for the little girl that people treated so badly because she didn't want to talk. The small town setting was so well portrayed and there was just a comforting vibe. I guess this is a cozy mystery, though it certainly felt on the darker side of that (which I do love).

I loved the audiobook narration!

Okay wow. I loved this book SO MUCH. I'm currently recovering from sobbing at work to the ending. I love how all of Emily Henry's books are so different and this one seemed even more genre-spanning with it's flashbacks and historical fiction subplot. Just everything in this book resonated with me. The complicated family dynamics really hit me. The writing was of course beautiful and emotional and the characters were vivid and complete and perfect. Everything in this book pulled at my heartstring and just spoke to my soul.

I don't want to spoil anything, but I went in blind and highly recommend that. I also love that this is a romance book but with so many additional important themes that all tie together. I love when romance is so big and proud and all the different storylines are equally captivating.

Note: OF COURSE I listened to the audiobook because I cannot experience an EmHen book without this narration. It is magic. I am so sad that I'm finished.

Oooh I loved this book. Shortly after starting I knew I would love this book because I enjoyed both characters and their POVs and arcs individually. I did not have a favorite character and I fell for them both. I love how honestly and strong their friendship is and how it's the base for a truly strong relationship. I loved the set up and absolutely every character in this book (which is so rare). I had a lot of fun reading this book and the spice and representation were both fabulous.

I hope to read more books by this author!

Audiobook note: I love love loved this narration that truly brought these characters to life.

I LOVED this book.  The writing captivated me immediately and I was completely immersed in this story about the travel west.  The characters were vivid and jumped off the page (and mostly into my heart). Haidie is now one of my all time favorite characters.  Her voice was unique and I was just soaking in this amazing storytelling. It was a wild and interesting and fun ride and I was not ready for it to end. I haven't read many westerns, but now I need more!

Note: The audiobook narration was perfect and really immersed me into the story to help me love it even more.

Another delightful book in this series. I loooooved a look into the couture fashion industry in this book. From the descriptions of the stunning designs (so well done) to meeting and getting to know the mannequins who got to wear them.  I love how the characters in this series jump off the page and they quickly become like a family for Tabitha. And of course Julia Child is her fabulous, exuberant self, making the most mouth watering dishes. Who knew reading about making crepes would be so fascinating. The story also focuses quite a bit on the aftermath of WWII and confronting the fact that so many French collaborated with the Germans (and the many degrees and opinions on that). It is not something I have read extensively about and I so appreciated reading about people's feelings and how passionate the French about the resistance.  This is a heavy and important topic and I love how it was incorporated and not shied away from in this cozy. I was shocked by the man turn of events and completely smitten with a certain alleycat.

I adore this series and already cannot wait for more!

Another stunner of a book. I LOVE watching Eve and her crew of likely and unlikely allies hunt down killer and then just humiliate them in interrogation. I also love the addition of family in this book for the holidays and the sweet and powerful words they share with her.

Note; as always I love this audiobook.

Wow what a dramatic ride. I read this is one sitting because it was fast paced, dramatic, so many twists to keep you racing towards the end. I actually had an idea about what was going on and was vindicated to find out that I was right. But wow the ride to get there was such a rush. I absolutely loved all 4 characters and their POVs.  They are stronger than I am, especially working together through animosity and grave danger.  I cannot wait to read the next one.

Note: I loved all the narrators of this audiobook!

This book was so easy to jump into as someone new to the series and the writing swept you into the drama and the cozy setting right away. The MC is thinking about her love life, her business, and the dramatic reveals about her past. Oh yeah and the magic! I love how her reveries gave such an easy and interesting recap for readers and really set the scene for the events in this book.  The threat of the murder and Doyle hanging over Shay made me feel so bad for her as she also tries to make her tea shop succeed. With the help from her friends, the second half moves quickly with visions and clues and I enjoyed how people helped her and she opened up more to people.  The ending was dramatic and had me on the edge of my seat. I hope Shay can keep some of the happiness she found (big heart eyes) into the next book!

I so enjoyed this book! I admit - I jumped into this series at this book, but it was so easy to do and I never felt behind or like I was missing anything. That being said I will absolutely go back and read the previous books because I loved this one. I am a sucker for the detective duo made of the stoic vet and the funny more relaxed newbie.  This book was a masterclass in weaving together a complex story through careful and smart detective skills, with so many twists and so many AH HA moments that kept me captivated. I am so impressed at how the story was told to bring it all together the way it does at the end.  I loved so many of the characters (and the animals to be honest) and I can't wait for more!

Note: I listened to the audiobook version and the narrator did a fascinating job telling this story and bringing the time period and characters to life.

I LOVED this book!!!! I was hooked immediately and had so much fun reading this.  This book put a smile on my face with the unlikely friend group coming together with all their quirks and personalities. The characters were a blast and definitely people I wish I could have in my corner.  The drama was intense and I am so impressed by Cam for his open mindedness and strength in everything that happens to him.  The writing was fun and easy to sink into. The story takes some truly wild turns and had me gasping out loud multiple times. I was on the edge of my seat for that ending and phew it was good. I already miss these characters so much!!
