I enjoyed the story overall but I think the audiobook copy I had from Libby was missing sentences because some scenes made absolutely no sense? Or the recording was messed up. It’s very clear when a new scene or new chapter was happening, but sometimes in the middle of a chapter it would change abruptly to a new scene and I have no clue what happened. It’s a shame because I was excited for this. Might decide to get the ebook instead and read that to get the full story. 

This is a powerful memoir but I felt like the writing itself was incomplete in lots of sections. I felt like there was more that the author wanted to say but didn’t, and to me it shows.
