I love poetry, and I wanted to like this one more than I did. There are some really good ones, but as soon as I saw a HP quote, from a trans person’s poetry collection, I was immediately turned off. Like I’m sorry, but can we not add in HP quotes in 2025? The author is actively funding transphobia in the UK. I don't understand how people cannot see that.

I think this was too literary sci-fi for my tastes. Overall, I did enjoy it, but I felt like it was too slow. I read it in one day, but it was spread out between many reading sessions simply because I found myself drifting off/spacing out because of the pacing.
I did really enjoy the representation. I love reading books with trans men MCs as a trans man myself, and this was nice!

An important memoir to read from a trans masc nonbinary parent perspective who gave birth to a child. However, I found the writing style not my cup of tea :(
