What an incredibly eye opening, powerful and amazing book!
TW: homophobia, sexual assault and language
This book has been on my radar for quite some time thanks to bookstagram and I quickly put it on my library holds list. When this book came in, I knew I had to read it right away. The author does an amazing job writing a memoir about his life thus far since he is only in his 30’s. Even though this book was very serious in nature, the author added humor, pictures and relatable stories. I flew through this book and I’m so glad I read it. My heart breaks for those in communities that are treated unfairly and have to constantly prove their worth. This book opened my eyes and I don’t want to be blind to what others go through anymore. ✨
I would strongly recommend this book!!

I flew through this book and overall, it was enjoyable!
Kerry was an amazing main character and I loved seeing her develop and find her voice throughout the book! The Strong brothers were very entertaining and I hope there are more books that include each of them. All of the friendships in this book were very well written and I liked Val the best (Kerry’s best friend).
This book was a mix of family drama and romance and I loved the troupes that were displayed in this book! Real Men Knit included a bit of enemies to lovers and forced close proximity ❤️
At some parts of this book, I felt like it drug on and I was waiting for the two many characters to connect earlier. I also felt like the brothers were very immature for their age.
I like crocheting and knitting and I LOVED that this book broke stereotypes that men can also crochet and it isn’t just for women. The way that the Strong brothers inspired younger boys in the community made me so happy!!

Wow!
Wow!
What a delight this book is! I listened to Big Friendship (which was read by the authors) and it was so amazing!
This book will make you want to call your best friend and thank them for shaping who you are today!!
Big Friendship is a book that I’d love to purchase to have on my shelf and to read in different seasons of life. To highlight, reflect and quote to my best friend. ❤️
The book talks about the cultural issues with giving platonic relationships the care, attention and insight they need. Our culture values romantic and familiar relationships the most but this book talks about the relationship we don’t talk about as much, platonic friendships and how vital they are!! One of the chapters talks about how to process the act of friendship break-ups, such an important topic that isn’t discussed much!!
I would highly recommend this book! After reading this book, I am encouraged to invest in my own friendships more, especially the Big ones

If you’re looking for a light, adorable, inspirational and clean romance book, this one is for you! I flew through The Dating Charade and enjoyed the foster care/adoption aspect of the story. ✨
Cassie and Jett are great main characters and I loved their heart for others. ❤️
This book had a lot of yours-mine-and-ours themes and I enjoyed it overall.

If you love YA books, coming of age books, books that help you out of a reading slump, adorable and fast-paced books, this one is for you!! ✨
I enjoyed the characters in this book. Chloe is passionate, determined but also has her self-doubts as any teenager does. Eli is her neighbor that is moody, careless and sorta obnoxious. The other characters in this book were well written and helped the story move along.
This book took place all in about 1 week and I love books like this. I enjoyed how each situation developed the characters just a little bit more. I danced tap, jazz and ballet growing up and I loved how this book highlighted ballet

The Vanderbeekers have always lived in the brownstone on 141st Street. It's practically another member of the family. So when their reclusive, curmudgeonly landlord decides not to renew their lease, the five siblings have eleven days to do whatever it takes to stay in their beloved home and convince the dreaded Beiderman just how wonderful they are. And all is fair in love and war when it comes to keeping their home.
I adored this middle grade book! I haven’t read many middle grade books and I will definitely read more. The illustrations in the book were beautiful and added so much to the book. I flew through this book and already requested the others in the series from the library. I enjoyed the siblings working together and the setting was so great.

I listened to A Sweet Mess and the narrator was great and it was an enjoyable audiobook!
TW: sexual assault, verbal abuse, and rape in the past

My grandfather lent me this book as he knows I’m a reader and he wanted me to read this book written by a veteran friend of his. I especially loved reading this book because he is also from MN. I enjoyed learning from the author and I admire his courage. When your grandfather asks you to read a book so you can talk to him about it after, you do and I’m thankful I get to have these conversations with him. What a well written book filled with incredible stories and eye opening lessons.
