What an incredibly powerful book! A Black protagonist that creates a video game that celebrates Black culture all while keeping her identity a secret

This book is full of character growth, took me on an emotional rollercoaster, spans over 30ish years and is beautifully written!

I read this book for my book club this month and I’m excited to discuss it next week! Thank you @librofm for the audiobook.

Wow, this book took me by surprise! I read this book slower than I usually read books but the authors writing style and choice of words were beautiful and I wanted to savor this book. ❤️⁣

I’m so thankful I read this book because it opened my eyes to different cultures, family dynamics and the way people interpret situations differently. Twin sisters are inseparable growing up but they decide to choose two different lives, one black and one white. This story follows how their lives differ and what happens when their families know more about their past. ✨⁣

I enjoyed the writing but at some points I was a bit confused as to what was happening in the story. I am eager to read The Mothers soon and savor the authors writing again.

I listened to this book and it’s incredibly moving and the narrator was great! If you’re like me, and are wanting to learn how to talk about race more and how to step into these conversations with more tact and respect, this book is very valuable. I leaned so much from this audiobook but now I want to get a physical copy so I can underline, highlight and keep for future reference. Please read this book, you won’t regret it!

The Voting Booth by Brandy Colbert ⁣

Thank you @librofm for this awesome audiobook!! Swipe to see the synopsis ⁣

What an incredible book about the importance of voting and sharing your voice no matter your age! If you’re looking for a great audiobook with so many fantastic lessons and great characters, look no further than this book. The Voting Booth is a YA book that is perfect for this year as well.⁣

Just a friendly reminder that if you haven’t registered to vote, do so now!! ✅⁣

Unfortunately, this book was just okay to me. I don’t know if it was the season of life I read it in or the book itself but it wasn’t for me

Summer Darlings is a debut novel and I can not wait to read anything else Brooke Lea Foster writes! I felt like I was transported to 1962 in Martha’s Vineyard ✨The setting was described so well and I enjoyed the character growth though out this book.

I loved the exquisite lifestyle described in this story! Gigi and Heddy’s relationship was so entertaining and Gigi reminded me a lot of Evelyn Hugo
