Ooof, this one was just not for me. I loathed the chapters from the Ravens’ POV and was just overall not vibing with the story to see it to the end.
This one was definitely a lot of fluff, but the kind of fluff that makes me feel warm inside.
What a fun and revengeful book! I think this would have been 5 stars if the characters were aged up and not late teens to early twenties (because who really grows up and changes that much at that age??), but overall, a really fun book that fans of The Bachelor franchise will get a kick out of!
What a twisty, secret-filled book!! This one is messed up (as I’ve come to expect from Jess Lourey’s crime/thriller books), and will keep you guessing until the end.
5 gallons of smut and the tiniest of all pinches of poorly-written plot.
When Louise’s parents die suddenly, she finds herself flying to Charleston for their funeral. The next step after grieving their death is to put their house on the market, but her and her enemy of a brother Mark will discover that not all houses want to be sold.
Grady Hendrix’s THE FINAL GIRL SUPPORT GROUP gave me actual nightmares…but this one didn’t even come close.
HOW TO SELL A HAUNTED HOUSE is campy with some cringe-worthy gore, and a whole lotta puppets. I’ve spent some time really thinking about my thoughts after finishing this book because I have a TON of mixed feelings, so let’s get into the nitty gritty.
First off, I found this book to just be way too long. I was drudging my way through it. The characters aren’t very likable (furthermore making me not care when shit started hitting the fan), and I just never really felt scared.
However, once I hit the last 20 percent of the book, it really seemed to pick up the pace and I enjoyed reading it. Hendrix wove the characters’ pasts into the story, which really brought everything together, even if it still had me questioning what exactly I was reading.
I think there will be fans of this one and others who will be as underwhelmed as I was after picking this one up.

DNF at 68%. I’ve read some of Jeneva’s other books and really enjoyed them, but the writing in this one was not good. Very repetitive and cringey, and it was hard for me to enjoy any of the characters.

One year ago, Isabelle Drake’s toddler was kidnapped in the middle of the night…and she hasn’t slept since. In her continuous search for answers, she befriends a true crime podcaster, and starts to question her own past in the process.
Much like everyone else and their mother, I read and loved A FLICKER IN THE DARK and was stoked to get my hands on an early copy of this one as well!
ALL THE DANGEROUS THINGS by Stacy Willingham is a slow-burn thriller that features every mother’s nightmare and brings to question what a woman will do for her children. I loved the complexity of the characters in this one, and just how intricately everyone’s stories were woven.
This book also features multiple timelines (LOVE!) which gave a ton of depth to the lead character and showcased just how much was at stake for her.
The twists in this one kept me on my toes and I think a lot of readers will feel the same!
