Definitely a hallmark vibe, which is exactly how I like my holiday romances to be!

Seven friends re-enter each other's lives when billionaire and founder of a massive social media platform Ryan Cloverhill invites them for a weekend away on his private island. Things quickly take a turn for the worse as they hand over their devices, Cloverhill makes a mad dash, and the group is faced with a real trolley problem.

DEVICE FREE WEEKEND by Sean Doolittle was a fun locked room vacation thriller with a cast of quite unlikable characters.

This one borders on sci-fi when it comes to the tech, but I found myself leaning into that element and really enjoying the ride! The use of alternating timelines and POVs kept the story engaging and gave just a hint at what these characters have been through to lead them to this very moment they find themselves in.

So glad to have had a chance to read an early copy of this one thanks to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing!

No rating for this scamming dude, buuuut here’s a bit of a review.

This one’s a chonk and felt a bit too predictable for my taste. The lead character was hard to like, which made me not care for her when everyone was against her, and I’m not even going to talk about the teenaged neighbor boy besides this sentence here 😬 🙄

I could have done without reading this one, but I do feel pride in slashing my fomo to bits.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It’s a great crime fiction and I found myself loving it whenever Emily’s character appeared on the page!

In this installment of the Finlay Donovan series, Finlay and Vero find themselves tasked by mob boss Feliks to uncover the identity of a contract killer…who might actually be a cop? They join Nick’s citizen police academy in the hopes of getting the inside scoop before it’s too late.

FINLAY DONOVAN JUMPS THE GUN is the third Finlay book by Elle Cosimano, and may also be my favorite???

This one is fun, full of hijinx, and sooo many suspicious characters! The fact that so much of this book takes place at the citizen police academy felt like a refresh to the story, and was just an overall fun location to get to spend time in.

The twists were surprising, and the ending has me excitedly waiting for the fourth in this series to be released!

Huge thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and Minotaur Books for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

A really cute friends to lovers, but a little long-winded in the first half.

Cute and wholesome with some cheese. Just a fun little Christmas read!

I felt like I’d been reading it for so long already and  not sure if I was intrigued enough by where the romance was headed.

A great premise with some nice tension and twists, but maybe 100 pages too long.

No rating.

Matthew Perry comes off as a condescending douchebag in this memoir, and seems to objectify every single woman, I’m sorry, “girl,” he meets.

I could excuse some of his more crass behavior as being a result of his addiction if he ever seemed remorseful for his actions, but he never did. In fact, he even went so far as to say “I made millions of dollars, so who cares.”

He’s also apparently the biggest Woody Allen fan, which is a cringe thing to repeatedly admit in a memoir 🙃

Perry does have some intriguing tales throughout this book, but the more I listened, the more he made me wince.
