Cheesy writing and 250 pages of miscommunication…it also takes place in the week after Christmas, not on Christmas, which is a bummer.
There were some fun elements, but the characters made it not it.

Holy wow! I loved loved loved this book.
It had me smiling and crying so much. The characters (and side characters) were just so much fun and I loved seeing them all interact with one another. Definitely got me in the holiday spirit!

Really enjoyed the characters in this one and the relationships they had with one another!
Def my type of cozy mystery 🥰

Thanks to libro.fm for an ALC of this one!
Unfortunately, this one did not click with me. I wanted to DNF, but I powered through and things didn’t get any better.
The characters were the worst and I think even though Nell was probably supposed to be the one character we were rooting for, she got on my nerves so much.
The story outside of the murder was also severely lacking.
*this is a note to my future self to not read the sequel lol*

My main issue with this book is that the characters didn’t always feel like they were in their late twenties in the present day 🤷🏼♀️ also having that one friend who’s rich af just took some of the believability away for me 😂
Those takes aside, this book had so much beauty, hope, and love in it.

A nice blend of The Gashlycrumb Tinies and Lemony Snicket vibes!
The illustrations in this were really fun, the little quizzes throughout delightful, and the anecdotes full of snark.
A cute little book to grace my shelves for the rest of eternity.

I love a story that includes many people with intersecting timelines/relationships, but this one was at the base level of that idea with most of the characters already being best friends.
I enjoyed the journey of this one and getting to know the characters, but some of it felt a bit too YA and I didn’t love that every story was about love - it would have been nice for a different relationship to have been formed in at least one of the POVs.
All in all, an enjoyable read, but just lacked a little something.

Not my favorite (and I always enjoy a Poirot more than a Marple anyways 🤷🏼♀️)
This one felt a bit too similar to some others of hers I’ve read recently and nothing really set it a apart besides the killer reveal, which angered me a bit (lol why’s it gotta be my fave character tho????)

This one sucked me in right from the start and the POV switch had me flipping pages!
Loved the background of each of our main characters and really enjoyed seeing this one come together story-wise. Definitely waited too long to read this one 😂
