Vines are my favorite and this made me laugh a lot.
This book was nice to listen to, but it probably makes a lot more sense if you are familiar with Broad City, which I am not. I did enjoy hearing about Abbi's cross country adventures and laughed often, but ultimately it was just okay for me.
CW: sexual abuse, disordered eating, sex addiction, drug abuse, death
Jonathan reads the audiobook, which is the most perfect way to interact with this story. At times, very dark; at times, I couldn't stop laughing. I enjoyed hearing more of his back story that you don't really get from watching Queer Eye.

Wowwww. I couldn't stop listening to this one. I am still processing all of the information from this book, but I found it to be challenging and engaging. I will likely pick up a copy of my own because I would definitely like to revisit this book in the future.
CW: sexual assault, abortion, drug use, disordered eating
This is one of my favorite memoir formats, broken up into short essays, because it is easy to read alongside other books. The first handful of essays were harder to read as they were heavier topics; I found myself putting the book down for days at a time because I wasn't ready to go back. Generally, the book explores many struggles that women face in our society today.

CW: suicide, self-harm
Naturally, quite a dark book, but I enjoyed listening to it. The book explores not only Anna's personal experiences with depression and mental health treatment, but also takes a broader look at these topics across North America. As Anna is Canadian, much of the book is about the Canadian health care system, which I found to be very eye-opening.

I am very interested in Glennon's latest book, Untamed, and figured I should listen to her backlist while waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail. I really was not very familiar with Glennon's backstory before listening to this book, but I really enjoyed it. It was raw and captivating. I love when an author reads their own audiobook and this was no exception; it was perfect to have Glennon telling her story. Some of the early chapters include vivid imagery of the content warnings listed above, so I would proceed with caution, if those may be triggering for you.

I received a free eARC from Netgalley and Candlewick Press in exchange for my honest review.
CW: death, drug abuse
I devoured a Lauren Myracle series when I was in high school, but for some reason had not read her books since. Let's just say - she knows how to write a coming of age story. I could see a lot of my high school self in the main character, Paul, and I found myself really rooting for him, even when he was hitting rock bottom. I had trouble getting into the story at first, but I couldn't put it down. All in all, a quick, engaging read, perfect for getting out of a quarantine reading slump.
