Sex Object: A Memoir
by Jessica Valenti
CW: sexual assault, abortion, drug use, disordered eating
This is one of my favorite memoir formats, broken up into short essays, because it is easy to read alongside other books. The first handful of essays were harder to read as they were heavier topics; I found myself putting the book down for days at a time because I wasn't ready to go back. Generally, the book explores many struggles that women face in our society today.
