Oh. My. God. The banter & relationships were just 🤌🏻 this was such a unique take on other worlds and magic. I loved every second of this book and can't wait for the next. I know Aleja and Violet are going to be going through some things. I normally don't like the amnesia/forgetting who I am trope, but I really liked it in this case. I felt it made the perfect explanation for a lot of things and had Nic & Aleja's roles been reversed, she'd have done the same with him. I have my suspicions about the thing in Violet so we'll see 🤔 I really hope I'm not right because I would be HEART BROKE if come to find out she has something to do with The Third like I think she does. 
I still don't fully understand The First, Second, and Third. Like who are they? What are they? I understand The Second is basically Nic's boss, and The First is the boss of the enemy, but what is The Third? Where do they come in? Are they like evil incarnate? 

This was the perfect ending go this trilogy. I loved it so much and might of cried a few times during their right with the queen. I can't wait go start the next series by her and i hope we get a trilogy on Marius once be matures!

There was such good plot and character development in this book!! I loved every second of it and wish I wasn't about to dive head first Into the last one in the series. I don't want to leave Luna and Bastian and I'm hoping with every fiber in my being the Last book leaves me resolved with closure instead of a major book slump from being forced to leave them behind.

This book was the perfect start to a new series! I loved the world building and unique magic. Layla is such a strong, independent queen doing whatever she thinks is right for her people while trying to find her parents' killers. I feel like Rune is 50/50 for people. I think his powers affect his anger/temper in ways that haven't been explained yet, but his constant "I'm sorrys" make me not feel bad for him. He is such a flip flop personality that its hard to gauge what's really going on in his head and I love it.  He's like Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde. None of the characters fall flat and everyone grew on me so much thought the book. Ill definitely be waiting for the next book to devour it as well!

Wow. Just wow! I loved this book sm. I love the gothic, thriller vibes mixed with the romance. I honestly was debating back and forth on whether the ghosts were real or just in her head but then the real twist came and oh my god dude.
