The plot was great and the writing was well done. Although there were quite a few times where I didn't understand why a character was thinking about specific stuff and the cop's wife leaving seemed too forced. A cop's wife, one with a child, in my opinion would not be so pissed off about the fact he's at work trying to find a missing kid or be so confused as to why he can't just leave. The ending also seemed too forced, as if this whole story was written to get the two high school sweethearts back together because they both realized how much better they would have been. The end just seemed to be there to get them alone and unattached again.
