A new favorite book to add to my list! Everything about this was fabulous in the most cozy of ways. A close escape, secret spells, gardens, berries, tomatoes, merbabies, unicorns, tree guardians, and magic all wrapped up in a tale about finding your way home.

I loved it.

Magic, poison, court drama, a masked figure, intrigue, secrets, romance... a delightfully new fantasy world. I can not wait to read the conclusion in the next book.

Two books within this book. The flow was good, the entwined story pulled me right along. The different voices was challenging at times as I would forget whose part I was reading. The heartache and familial betrayal are painful. The many pasts are sad. I won't say all is worth it in the end because that would be cruel. A very interesting read that I would recommend to those that like trying to solve mysteries before the solution is revealed.

Remarkable. What an amazing life, what a fantastic woman, what a story. I listened to the audiobook. Which I highly recommend, the time of voice, the emotion, the shared/included music is beyond worth it. Streisand writes and reads as she has done everything in her life, with her entire creative being and whole heart. I can only imagine what it must be to be included amongst those she considered dear. I laughed out loud and cried several times throughout the book. Fabulous, honest, wonderful. This story, this woman and her accomplishments, her convictions, will stay with me for the rest of my life, will affect how I raise my children, how I live my life going forward. Simply lovely. A job well done Barbra Streisand!

Magic, poison, intrigue, secrets... a mystery solved. This half of the story was fast paced and complex. There were many twists within the mystery but it came together in the end. All the parts of the tale rounding each other out perfectly just as the ingredients in a cup of tea. I quite enjoyed the conclusion to this duology.

I have fallen in love with the characters in this tome. A fantastic tale with plenty of mystery, intrigue, love, and possibly most important... loads of tea and books.

This is the most inclusive book I have ever read. Not only does it center on a lesbian couple but it acknowledges pronouns beyond typical he/her.

I am eagerly awaiting my copy of book two in this series. Which won't be released until the beginning of October! Damnit all.

Loved the audio of this story! It was wonderful. I listened to it with my kids and we all enjoyed it. My son loves the werewolf. Onward we go to the Goblet of Fire.

A rift in the now. A mystery of the past. A novel through the ages. I loved the bits of the past, both long ago and recent. I appreciated how the present came to be shaped by the past. There were moments that had me gasping in surprise, moments that had me covering my mouth wide eyed in shock, moments that had me teary. Overall, the story as a whole was a wonderfully pleasant experience.

Brac Universe #2

Another quick short for shifter lovers.

This story has more substance than the first. The main characters are great. I enjoy the interaction between Johnny and Cecil the smaller mates. They are going to cause all kinds of trouble in the upcoming books I think.

I also enjoy how the next couples are introduced mid story. I know from reading this that there are two couples that need their tales told. I look forward to them.
