Neurodivergent representation is very rare in a book, even more in romance. I appreciate this author's beautiful writing of a character trying to do his best. I adored this story.

Smut, pure smut. Well written, but smut nonetheless. It touches on many taboo topics and there are several scenes that will make people uncomfortable. This is erotica, don't expect much in terms of story. This author writes spice well, dark themes where consent is dubious. I enjoyed the writing.

I found this story a good entertaining piece. I felt I had to read the first book to understand some of the conversations. I missed this was a book in a series. That is a me problem not the author's. That said, this book had a story good enough to pass the time. It had it's funny and amusing moments. Hilarity ensues when some things don't go as planned.

If anything, my complain is that the story didn’t continue beyond the few pages we got. The novella has the potential to have the characters with more depth and emotion. The vignette we got is not but a glimpse of their story. The age gap and taboo aspect kept it interesting. The spice was spicy.

Spinning Out of Control has a little bit of everything in it. Kira has mental health issues that put her in a setios and very real situation where she collapses under the weight of her "spins." She has a healthy relationship with her closest friends who support her during these times and her found family makes this story. He is an older man, 20 years older, who knows what he wants and is secure on his masculinity. He slowly falls for her and then develops a protective stance towards her. I appreciated this author's description on how it feels to have an episode. His point of view during this time is one that clearly shows he cares for her, deeply. I was glad I picked up this read. It was a nice surprise.

This book is a sci-fi-ish romance between non-binary characters. The author writes many scenes that are crafted wonderfully to show how love is love. For the discourse we have now can I say how much I appreciate the entire convo about humans and their questionable history? I'm sad in real life no one challenges that line of thinking just to protect some fragile ego. A master example of "Books are Political" executed brilliantly. Love it. The story in itself is entertaining and with very nice spice. The characters learn to accommodate each other's very different takes on life. That is refreshing.

Remember the Billy Joel song Uptown Girl? This book is just that in the literary version. This debut story has well written, easily lovable characters. Willow and Riley have an instant connection but don't realize it until late in the book. The text messages between the MCs, and the podcast news are my favorite parts. I enjoyed this book and recommend it for fans of Abby Jimenez, Emily Henry, Tessa Bailey.
