This book was a surprise to me, I was expecting a fluffy read and instead got a book that talks about dislexia, found family in friends, slow simmering burn, and health issues with endometriosis. The spice is locked door, they go from friends to lovers, and he is THE bear. The story is about the best friend's brother who she's crushed over for years, he moves in with her when he needs a place to stay and then they become more than friends. I loved the gradual transition Dylan had from seeing her as a friend of his sister to a woman. I absolutely adored how he helped Hunter during her painful periods. I only wish the slow simmer would've been shorter and spend more time on the relationship, the ending felt rushed trying to tie all plotlines.
If you are a fan of friends to lovers, best friend's sibling, slow simmer with no spice, or fade to black spice, this book is for you.

A heartfelt account of Dylan's journey into womanhood. Very candid revelations of private moments from a very public persona. In the end, as strong a Dylan may see, she is just a girl who wants to be loved. I found this book a delight, I laughed several times, and then cried when some people made her life difficult. Highly recommend it.

Nanny/neighbor to single dad's kid and sparks fly. First of, the kid stole the show. Her insight into her dad and Emmie's developing relationship was humorous.
Theirs is a case of opposites attract, while both of them have their own reasons to not get involved, they cannot resist the pull for each other.
I was impressed on Bella's writing over the care-giver emotional toll for someone with a relative with Alzheimer's. These scenes had me tearing at times. This book would appeal to readers of emotional love stories with plot and real life issues, specially for the sandwich generation.

Stasia totally nails dark romance. This story? It's all about sin, redemption, and some heavy-duty family drama and violence themes.
The main characters are two haunted souls who are damaged by their own demons and use sex to escape. We see their journey to possible salvation.
If you like dark romances with imperfect characters this is for you.
This story has very triggering subject matters. Please check them out before reading it.

This book is a retell if Romeo and Juliet had a baby with You Got Mail.
It is sprinkled with filial love and the perdurance of choosing a job that is truly one's passion. It has a side quest mystery problem that is very entertaining. I enjoyed how the author developed her characters to be real people with flaws and all. A slow-burn, enemies to lovers romance with no spice, this story focuses more on relationships and their impact on the lives of the characters.
This book would appeal to fans of Jesse Q. Sutanto, Falon Ballard, Ally Brady, and Katherine Spencer.

Allie Samberts writes characters full of depth and nuance. This story is more than just a second chance at love. It's a book about grief, mental health and forgiveness to oneself. The path to getting there is well laid out and engaging. While it touches subject matters that could be triggering for some, she takes care to presenting them well in the context of the story. I am not going to lie, I was a little teary eyed a few times.
This story would appeal to fans of second chance at romance after the unthinkable happens.
