Read 32% and decided it wasn't for me. Flat characters, weird insta love/protecty vibes and unrealistic behavior from all around.
I am coming to super hero comics with only the vaguest ideas of who folks are, so I'm sure there are some aspects I miss out on when I read these. But I did appreciate that they didn't feel the need to explicitly spell out Babs' traumatic event. I think they told enough about it through the puzzle piece imagery. Note that I am coming from an able bodied perspective, but I thought it felt like a realistic portrayal of someone coming to terms with their new physical limitations. It wasn't the 'disability inspiration' trope and the open discussion of how sometimes old friends fall away during life changing events felt real.
I liked the mystery and watching Babs come into her own in taking on the problem her way.

Sometimes I feel like I don’t know how to read and appreciate poetry. Some parts spoke to me and others not so much. There was a lot of God and straight presenting themes, which is not a problem, just doesn’t connect with me. This all probably means I should read more poetry.
I loved “Picking a Name”.
“What matters is not what you are called
But what you answer to.”
Also liked “His 1,000 years in 75 with her”, “Heavy World”, and “Sprouting”.
