I couldn’t keep track of who was who and saying what. The text doesn’t distinguish dialogue with quotations, etc. And there are different names and titles for everyone one with it flip flopping between first and surnames and titles.
The writing is poetic and flowery and beautiful but I just couldn’t keep my place given my dyslexia.

I just couldn’t deal with anymore of the idealized “love solves everything”.
I stepped away from it for several days and just have no urge to pick it back up.

While the author states in the beginning that this is supposed to be in a podcast format, I think podcast is the only way to do bios of music. I skipped around to read about songs I knew/liked and it was a fun palette cleaner.

This is basically a femme focused version of the Monk and Robot duo! I adored this. Sal and Clara are just too precious and cute.

A CHUNK of a book, this details out the three hundred some years of American chattel slavery. No one involved was spared: Jefferson, Washington, the Lehman bros and all. If they were part in anyway, the grisly truth is applied to them. I was sometimes appalled at the “heroes” of our history. Not an easy read but a must read.
