I thought this book had a really interesting concept and characters but it just never wowed me. I had hoped Reina was going to have a bigger part than she did as she seemed one of the most interesting characters at the start, hopefully she'll get more development in the next book. There were a few surprises that I felt could have been handled better so that they felt more like a reveal. The whole thing felt quite slow and a bit sluggish to me. Not sure I'll be reading the next one.

Very cute and simple story, nothing ground breaking but I liked the characters and the art. I would recommend if you're looking for a fluffy easy read.

I'm a fan of Rumiko Takahashi so I enjoyed these short stories. Some were better than others, but overall this a good read for any fan of her work.

I enjoyed this book but I wouldn't say I loved it or that anything stood out to me as phenomenal. The story and characters were interesting enough to keep me reading as I haven't read anything like it.

This book was recommended to me by a therapist, it's not usually something I'd pick up. I found some parts interesting, mostly the anecdotes and sections on famous historical introverts. The rest though I felt was very focused on people in jobs which require a lot of social interaction or those who have kids. Of which I am neither and so I struggled to relate and stay interested. It could also be quite long winded in a few places. I'm glad I listened to this rather than read it as I think I would have struggled to finish it. Overall I'm glad I've read it though.

Also, the random swapping between using she/her and he/him when referring to hypothetical children was so confusing and distracting. The use of the words they/them would have made this so much easier to listen to.

I picked this book up when I was in primary school and couldn't get into it. I've kept it for some reason all these years (I'm now 26) and decided I should read it. I'm really glad I didn't read it as a kid! This book is surprisingly dark and, although not too much detail is given, there's some quite traumatic events! Especially for a cat loving kid. As an adult I read this in one sitting and did enjoy it. Its very clever in its use of cats to explore the themes of racism and discrimination. It's also quite witty and enjoyable, bar the descriptions of the animal abuse. I'm glad I've kept it all these years and finally read it.

I didn't really enjoy the first half of this book but the last half did capture my attention much more. Its not usually a book I would pick up and at first I didn't know if I'd finish it but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did in the end. The characters are really interesting and there wasn't any point in the book when I could predict where the play was going, so this kept it quite engaging.

A great little spin off, highly recommend it for any fan on the series!

This book felt a bit misleading, most of the book isnt about Ikigai but just how to live longer. There was some good points, some points which seemed potentially harmful and some stuff the extent of the detail of which seemed a bit pointless. I would have liked to hear more from the people in the interviews they conducted.

The saddest entry to this quartet so far and I have a feeling summer will only be more so. I read this in two sittings as I was pretty engrossed in following the stories of these characters. The insight into these real world situations was just amazing, I can't wait to read the next one. It only lost some stars as some stuff just goes straight over my head, but that has been consistent in the series and more of a me problem than a problem with the book. I also just preferred the characters in Winter.
