Y'all know I'm not big on romance so I tried going into this with an open mind. Over the past few months I had been thinking about giving romance another try and also wanted to try to read romance by Black authors.
Ms. Talia Hibbert did the damn thing because I was blown away by how much I genuinely enjoyed reading this book. It's funny, it's sexy, the characters are so well written and she addresses very important topics in such a meaningful way.
If you are a romance fan, I highly recommend this book. 5 stars!

I grew up on Lifetime movies and listening to this is basically the same as watching one of their movies lol And I really appreciate that the main character isn't a fucking idiot
The best thing about this was the horse cloak.
The cannibalism and body swapping were completely unnecessary and added no value to the plot. The music that played at every scene change and POV changes was annoying af and the conflict at the end that could have easily been avoided if someone hadn't jumped to conclusions and reacted like a child instead of asking questions was not needed.

The sequel was unnecessary. I feel like she wrote this to make Sydney look like a saint after being a hypocritical homewrecker and I HATED the ending. Hated it so much that I did a drunk review of it which you can watch here
I did NOT like this ending! I mean it made sense but I don't like it. I recommend this for fans of Vicious and anyone who has wondered about Eli's backstory. My full review is available here

Otherwise, I could not figure out who was behind it all. But if I remember correctly there was something different about that person in the beginning. I also just didn't expect it to be that person for a number of reasons.
