I'm So (Not) Over You

Kosoko Jackson

DID NOT FINISH: 5%

I could not go any further. The main character has been pining after his ex for like 3 months and to me that is way too long. Like his friend Divya said, it was a bad idea to meet with him after he asked. It would have been best if he told him to say what he needed to say over text or cease contact.
Hudson had no damn right to ask Kian to pretend to be his boyfriend for after dumping him. Parents coming to town or not, that's not Kian's problem. I assume Kian agrees because otherwise there would be no story but I'm not interested in seeing him be used by someone who has already proven that he doesn't care about him. Maybe it gets better but I'm done.

I did enjoy this book however, it did not need to be over 400 pages. There are hints at things early on that aren't actually addressed until the very very end even though they were brought up multiple times and that really annoyed me.

HOLY SHIT!!!

I enjoyed this book so much!! Shit hit the fan halfway through the prologue and the drama was consistent the entire time. I loved every single minute of it

While I did have this on a 5 star prediction list, I did not think that I would like it this much! I enjoyed the twists and turns and I was really into the story and the characters. The ending was very neat though so it will be interesting to see how the second book goes.

Unfortunately this book just wasn't for me but I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys mystery/thriller with a lot of plot twists!

I struggled with two things here: the characters and sometimes the writing.

I disliked all of the characters expect for maybe two. Reading Sam's pov was annoying and I could not root for her because of her actions and the way she kept trying to place blame and accountability elsewhere.

The author does a really good job with foreshadowing. We as the reader reach certain conclusions at the same time as the characters which is nice. However, when you've made the realization and it still takes another page or so to confirm it it was annoying because there was always an extra build up to whatever was being revealed that wasn't needed.

I only read this book because I like Mack. Still not a fan of Liv. I definitely appreciated what she was doing but she can be a real bitch.

And surprise surprise the issue that caused
the third act break up could have been fixed with ~gasp~ communication.

For the most part I did enjoy this but I will not be continuing this series

Not gonna lie I HATED Jay in the beginning but the way he went to bat for Liya in the end changed my mind. Also I disliked how Liya felt about herself at times do to what "society" thinks
But the ending was so fulfilling and I can't wait to read book 2

So I did enjoy this more than I expected but I'm not gonna lie
Echo got on my nerves a lot of the time. If you worry about Bane being in love with Sapphira, ask him and be sure. If you have feelings for him, fucking tell him. Cause now all you're doing is stressing this man out and pushing him away which hurts both of you and that's stupid.
